Recap of 2025 NFL Flag Championships: A Showcase of Youthh Talent and Global Growth

2025 NFL Flag Championships

The 2025 NFL FLAG Championships presented by Toyota at ForeverLawn Park by Unrivaled Sports at the Hall of Fame Village in Canton, Ohio, marked another milestone for youth flag football. As the premier youth flag football tournament in the world, the second annual event brought together approximately 300 teams and 3,000 players across 12 divisions, representing all 32 NFL clubs and eight international teams. With over 33 hours of coverage across platforms like ESPN, ABC, Disney, and NFL+, the championships highlighted the sport’s rapid growth, inclusivity, and bright future, especially with its inclusion in the 2028 Summer Olympics.

“The NFL FLAG Championships represent the premier event for youth flag football,” said Stephanie Kwok, NFL vice president of flag football. “We are excited to see the competition across all age groups.”

Maybe the biggest moment of the weekend came on Saturday when Mandarin High School (Florida) sophomore-to-be wide receiver Brysen Wright made an unbelievable one-handed catch in for the Jacksonville Elite 14U team.

The sensational grab went viral, catching the eyes of NFL’ers Patrick Mahomes and Bijan Robinson.

On Sunday, Wright and his teammates captured the championship in the Boys’ 14U Division.

The Houston Texans’ Texas Fury grabbed the Girls’ High School Division championship. They won the title with a 19-0 shutout of the Bad Rabbits Cowboys.

In the International Division, Mexico won its second straight championship with a 19-0 shutout of Australia.
