Five players are finalists for this year’s NFL FLAG Boys’ Player of the Year Award presented by Toyota. The winner will be announced in February 2026 at NFL Honors before Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, California.
All five were in action this past weekend at the NFL Flag Championships in Canton, Ohio.
Brysen Wright, Jacksonville, Florida
Wright, a sophomore-to-be at Mandarin High School in Florida, had an outstanding weekend at the NFL Flag Championships in Canton, Ohio. He was a key component in Jacksonville Elite 14U’s championship run.
Wright accounted for 10 touchdowns and five extra points in seven games. He was named the 14U tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
On Saturday, Wright caught the eye of NFL players Patrick Mahomes and Bijan Robinson after his one-handed touchdown catch went viral.
Mandarin, Wright’s high school team is ranked No. 229 in the High School Football America 300 preseason national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
Wrigley Hamrick, KC Shockers
Hamrick, who also plays tackle for Baldwin High School in Kansas, told his school newspaper, “My favorite thing about flag football is going to different places to compete in tournaments and hanging out with my team.”

Cole Ware, Woodstown, New Jersey
Kason Turner, Henderson, Nevada
Hamrick, Kramer, Ware and Wright were a member of the Boys’ Oakley All-Tournament Team.
