Ridgewood will go for a three-peat Saturday when it faces Bayonne for the New Jersey High School Girls Flag Football State Championship game. The National Football League‘s New York Jets will host the title game at Kean Alumni Stadium.
As the SFC North Champions, Ridgewood finished the regular season 12-0, beating Secaucus, the NJIC champions, to advance to Saturday’s Championship game. Bayonne, the SFC South Champions finished 11-0 and defeated Hunterdon Central, the BCC champions, to reach the finals.
This is the fifth season of the Jets New Jersey High School Girls Flag Football League presented by Nike and supported by Gatorade and Visa. Launched in 2021, the league began with eight schools from the Super Football Conference and quickly expanded to the Big Central Conference (BCC) and the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference (NJIC) with over 90 teams in 2025. This season featured more than 2,250 athletes competing in over 450 games, culminating in Saturday’s Championship game.
Prior to kickoff, at 3:00 p.m., the Jets will host a Youth Girls Flag Clinic for 150 participants to teach fundamentals and grow the game of flag football for girls.
