Houston Texans Texas Fury captures Girls’ High School Championship at NFL Flag Championships

Texas Fury wins Girls' High School title at NFL Flag Championships.

After a disappointing loss in last year’s semifinals, Texas Fury, sponsored by the National Football League‘s Houston Texans, rolled to the 2025 girls’ high school championship at the NFL Flag Championships in Canton, Ohio. In Sunday’s title game, the Fury beat the Bad Rabbits Cowboys (Calexico, California) 19-0 behind  Emery Beckett, who finished a perfect 8-for-8 in the passing department.

Beckett won the game’s Most Valuable Player Award with three touchdown passes.

The Fury was led by head coach Kennan Hughes, who was recently hired as the first head coach for the women’s flag football team at Concordia University in Austin, Texas.
