Dynasty Weekend: Six Programs Claim 16 of 20 Bids in Buccaneers and Chargers Regionals

The penultimate weekend of the NFL FLAG Fall Regional circuit has concluded, adding 20 new teams to the qualified field for the NFL FLAG Championships in Canton, OH. The major story of Week 6 was the unprecedented level of program dominance, as 16 of the 20 championship bids awarded across the Los Angeles Chargers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers Regionals were secured by just six elite programs.

As the season pauses for a week before the final Fall tournament in Houston, the field is fully set for the final rankings push.

LA Chargers Regional: The Conquer Sweep

The Irvine, CA, regional was defined by a program sweep unseen this season. Conquer Chargers dominated the girls’ side of the bracket, securing an astonishing four bids by claiming the title in the 10U, 12U, 14U, and HS Girls Divisions. This complete regional sweep firmly establishes Conquer as one of the most powerful girls programs in the country.

The Coed divisions were split in a classic rivalry matchup: Tucson Turf secured the 8U and 14U Coed titles, while AZ Legends countered by winning the 10U and 12U Coed championships.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Regional: Florida Programs Share the Spoils

The Apollo Beach, FL, regional saw a more distributed, yet equally concentrated, display of power:

  • UUT South Tampa Mafia had a breakout performance, securing three bids in the 8U Coed, 10U Girls, and 12U Girls divisions.
  • Tampa Bay Bolts also earned multiple pieces of hardware, taking home the 10U Coed and 14U Girls championships.
  • The Rec divisions were completely swept by one organization: Jax PAL claimed all three recreational titles in the 8U, 10U, and 12U Rec categories.
  • Spring Hill Select emerged victorious in the highly competitive 12U Coed division, while Prime GP took the HS Girls title.
