The first-ever El Paso Region 19 girls’ flag high school football championship belongs to Americas High School. Thursday night, the winners of the Houston Texans division, beat Harmony, winners of the Dallas Cowboys division, 25-6 at historic R.R. Jones Stadium.

The championship game culminated the first season of girls’ flag in El Paso after the National Football League‘s Cowboys and Texans partnered to bring high school girls’ flag football the area. The Region 19 Female Flag Football Pilot Championship involve eight school districts, representing 39 teams.
The night definitely had a NFL feel with Americas being led onto the field by the Texans’ mascot Toro and Harmony entering the stadium behind the Cowboys’ mascot Rowdy.
