New York Jets Gatorade Girls’ Flag Player of the Week Award Winners for 2025

Throughout the 2025 Spring Girls' Flag high school football season, the National Football League's New York Jets are honoring standout girls flag players in the tri-state area.

Throughout the 2025 Spring Girls’ Flag high school football season, the National Football League’s New York Jets are honoring standout girls flag players in the tri-state area. The Girls’ Flag Football Player of the Week is presented by Gatorade.

Those honored will receive a $1,000 donation for their high school flag program, plus the winner will have the opportunity to attend the Jets Play Football preseason game at MetLife Stadium, where she will be honored on-field for her achievement.

Below are the weekly honorees:

Week 1 – Chloe Ahorrio, Monroe-Woodbury HS (New York)

In the first game of the 2025 Gatorade Girls Flag Series, Ahorrio led her team to a victory over Washingtonville High School. Ahorrio was selected after having an impressive performance, recording 162 passing yards and an additional 130 rushing. She also tallied four touchdowns, throwing for three, while picking up one on the ground. Monroe-Woodbury went on to win in dominant fashion, with a final score of 36-0.

Week 2 – Jaelynn Perez, DePaul Catholic HS (New Jersey)

Perez led her team to a statement victory over Indian Hills High School in the second game of the 2025 Gatorade Girls Flag Series. A junior linebacker and running back for the Spartans, Perez was selected after having eight touches for 158 total yards in the first half. She also tallied four touchdowns, one of which was an interception for a TD return. DePaul Catholic went on to beat Indian Hills 45-12. The Spartans are now 3-2 on the season, and look to add another win in their upcoming game against Newark Central.

Week 3 – Norah Rose, East Rockaway HS (New York)

In the third game of the 2025 Gatorade Girls Flag Series, Rose led her team to a 31-7 victory over Hempstead. She impressed with five carries for 20 yards, as well as six flag pulls. Rose also had one interception for the Rocks. Rose and the Rocks are now 5-3 on the season, and look to add another win in their upcoming game against Roslyn.

Week 4 – Avery Delaney, Kent Place School (New Jersey)

Delaney led the Kent Place Dragons to victory in the fourth game of the 2025 Gatorade Girls Flag Series. The sophomore quarterback was selected as the Player of the Week after throwing for five touchdowns and 190 total passing yards. She also picked up 47 rushing yards for the Dragons en route to a 34-6 win over Morristown High School. Kent Place is now 4-2-2 on the season, and looks to add a pair of wins in their upcoming games this week.

Week 5 – Sienna Torres, CSI/McCown (New York)

In what was the final game of the 2025 Gatorade Girls Flag Series, the CSI/McCown Dragons defeated Springfield Gardens 38-0. Both teams were undefeated coming into their matchup at 1 Jets Drive, making this a statement victory for the Dragons. Torres, a junior center and defensive back, was named the Player of the Week after her dominant performance on both sides of the ball. Offensively, she had five receptions for 40 total yards with one touchdown and one extra point, respectively. She also had five flag pulls and three interceptions, one of which was returned for a TD, to make for a lights out defensive game. Torres and the Dragons went 10-0 in the regular season, and look to carry this momentum as they head into postseason play.

Week 6 – Taylor Jones, Newark Central HS (New Jersey)

Jones threw a 15-yard touchdown pass in double-overtime to win the game in walk-off fashion, clinching a 6-0 victory. Her standout performance included over 100 yards of total offense, helping the team advance to their 10th straight win. The Blue Devils are now heading to the SFC-North final, and will face the winner of this week’s playoff game between Ridgewood and BelovED Charter.

Week 7 –

Week 8 – Ava Pryce, Middletown HS (New York)

Pryce was a standout player for the Middletown Middies during the 2025 season. As just a freshman, she started at quarterback and led the team to a 15-1 finish on the year. In their playoff game versus Elmira High School, Pryce had four passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. This performance led the Middies to a 56-6 victory and a trip to the quarterfinals of the NYSPHSAA Flag Football Championships. Pryce looks to bring continued success to the Middies’ girls flag program throughout the remainder of her high school career.
