The 2025-2026 NFL FLAG Regional Tournament season is officially underway, and its first set of champions have been crowned, immediately setting the tone for a competitive year. Despite a limited field, the tournament was packed with top-tier talent securing their coveted early-season bids to the NFL FLAG Championships in Canton.

For those who didn’t qualify, the season is far from over. Teams will have up to 5 more chances to punch their tickets at subsequent “closed border” regional events throughout the season.

Coed Division Highlights: Reigning Champs Make a HUGE Statement

The Coed divisions delivered thrilling action, with a major storyline emerging from the 10U division.

The most anticipated games came from the 10U Coed division, where the reigning 2024/2025 NFL Flag 8U champions, the Toledo Dirty Birdz, moved up and made a definitive statement. They delivered a dominating performance, running the table to claim the championship and letting the FLAG world know they are ready to compete at the next age group.

Girls Division Showdown: KC Heat Triumphs in Key Matchup

The Girls divisions were equally competitive, providing several high-stakes matchups.

The marquee matchup of the entire Girls division came from the 14U group. KC Heat rose to the occasion, earning a crucial double-victory over the very talented Conquer Chargers. The Chargers, fielding their younger 13U team this season, were edged out in both their group play meeting and the intense Championship final.
