The trio of NFL FLAG Regional Tournaments this weekend host by the Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints and Washington Commanders officially brings the total number of teams qualified for the 2026 NFL FLAG Championships in Canton to 86 teams. With the North Region bids now wrapped until the spring, the focus shifts entirely to the East, South and West to close out the Fall circuit.

Texas Fury sends notice in New Orleans

All eyes were on Texas Fury’s Fall debut in the New Orleans Saints Regional. And, the program delivered a dominant statement. The Fury secured both the HS Girls and 14U Girls championships, immediately re-establishing themselves as a national threat.

The 14U Texas Fury squad was a defensive masterpiece, allowing only a single touchdown all day.

The High School Girls division saw an instant classic, with Texas Fury, the defending HS Girls national champs, battling the elite Pirate Bay Krewe (PBK). PBK cruised through group play with a phenomenal +90 point differential and a clean sheet on defense, but Texas Fury overcame the odds in the final, securing an impressive 18-7 victory to win the Canton bid and the championship.

Washington Commanders: The Hurricane Watch

The Commanders Regional delivered the highly-anticipated firepower on the East Coast, particularly in the girls’ divisions. The HS Girls bracket was a brutal gauntlet featuring powerhouse programs like Brick Elite, JTF, VA Hurricanes, and Athena Warriors Travel all securing semifinal spots.

After a grueling day, the VA Hurricanes of Virginia emerged victorious, showing dominating resilience to take the HS Girls crown. They weren’t done there: the Hurricanes showed the same determination in the 14U Girls division, where they secured their programs second bid of the day to Canton by defeating the New York Knights in the championship.

Indianapolis Colts: The Bluegrass Surprise

The Indianapolis Regional had its share of upsets and star turns. When Chicago Bears runner-up Cal Select was unable to attend, the 10U Coed division opened up. It was the Eastwood Eagles, playing out of the Rossford Dome, who capitalized. After a tough group play battle against Apex Flag Predators, Eastwood rolled into the bracket and knocked off the new 10U Toledo Dirty Birdz to secure the championship.

In the 14U Coed Division, TEAM BLUEGRASS put the entire complex on notice. Though the field was small, their dominating performance cemented them as an exciting team to watch in Canton. Their eyes-on play and intensity have earned them a massive shoutout — get ready for these boys on the national stage!

Finally, in a small but dedicated 7-team girls field, the Oregon Lady Raptors swept all three divisions (10U, 12U, and 14U Girls) convincingly, celebrating a massive day for their program.
